At The Right Time, We Remember

The honor roll goes back farther than we can remember, it contains names we will never know…

I wasn’t there when the American Colonial Army stood winter guard in the snows of Valley Forge wearing bloody rags for boots as they fought for my freedom.

I wasn’t there in the war of 1812.

I wasn’t in the trenches when the German’s seared the lungs of young American men with mustard gas as they fought for my freedom in World War One.And here is the rest of it.

I wasn’t at Pearl Harbor when a single Japanese bomb detonated a million pounds of black powder on the Arizona and instantaneously killed over one thousand American sailors preparing to defend my freedom against the Japanese and the Nazis.

I didn’t see the bullet riddled bodies of the Americans who died defending my freedom in Korea.

I only vaguely remember the nightly news clips of American soldiers as they carried out our government’s orders in the jungles and swamps and tunnels of Vietnam.

I have never been with a family who lost a son or a daughter defending Kuwait, Afghanistan, or Iraq.

I wasn’t there with any of them when they suffered as prisoners of war in any of these wars.

I have never been with a family whose child died in a peace time military training exercise.

Not every one of our veterans saw combat. Some were clerks, cooks, mechanics, machinists. Some served during war time, some served during peace time, some serve in peace today, ready for battle tomorrow. Today they prepare for the ongoing war against terrorists. Some gave their lives, some suffered wounds, some saw things that no human should ever have to see, and many did things that no human should ever have to do. And all gave their daily life, for a period of time, while many more gave their time to work in the industries that sustained our veterans.

Not all of those who have protected my freedom were even in the military. Some of them were the firemen, policemen, and paramedics who risked their lives each day, rushing in where most of us would never tread. Some are the doctors and nurses who treat the wounded, and go home and cry for them. Some of them were “just” passengers on commercial airline flights who, with faith in Christ, calmly chose to fight, and die if necessary, rather than let Flight 93 be used as a weapon against their country and their fellow citizens.

When I tried to join the US Air Force, my application was turned down for medical reasons.

Because others were, and will be there, I am privileged to continue to live in the greatest nation the world has ever known and to enjoy the greatest freedoms that any people have ever known.

The honor roll stretches forward to times, and places, and names we will never know…

And so I thank you, veteran, whoever you are, and wherever you are, whenever your service.

Thank you Vet. Thanks Dad. Today, I remember WHY I am free, and I thank you.

I know that when you were asked, at the right time, like Christ, you gave your life for me.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived

Political Awareness 101 – The Class Almost Half of America Flunked by Rev Michael Bresciani

In August of 2006 CNN News conducted a poll that was meant to see how the average American viewed the Hezbollah. The result would leave anyone with an ounce of political savvy in a state of disbelief.

The poll concluded that forty seven percent of those polled think Hezbollah is friendly toward America. Leaving aside the generally accepted idea that our allies’ enemies are our enemies you’ve got to wonder if those polled have a clue.

Did the pollsters remind those polled that Hezbollah is solidly backed by Iran. And have those Americans forgotten the Ayatollah Khomeini or the Iranian hostage crisis? Have they forgotten that Iran is openly and defiantly bent on creating enriched uranium from its nuclear facilities to make nuclear bombs with? Have they forgotten all this or did they ever know it to begin with.

Did those polled forget that between 1983 and 1985 elements of the Hezbollah were responsible for the bomb that killed over two hundred U. S. Marines in Beirut? Weren’t they informed that the Hezbollah car bombed the U. S. Embassy and the embassy’s annex? Did the polled know that nearly every suicide bomber that claimed the lives of innocent women, children and tourists at the Israeli border were sanctioned and in some cases paid for by the Hezbollah? The real question seems to be were they informed of anything at all.

If those polled attended a class in the area of political science entitled, “political savvy 101” and were asked only one question to complete the course how many would pass? The question of course would be what country Iran would use its nuclear bomb on if it had one. They could be given multiple choice answers such as 1.America, 2.Israel, 3.duh. According to the CNN poll one hundred percent of those in that class would be taking the course over.

Has life in America become so fast paced that we have no time to pay attention to what is going on elsewhere or doesn’t a “Super Power” need to give any attention to these serious threats perceived only as isolated foreign skirmishes and uprisings? Is the pre 9/11 complacency returning with a vengeance? It is hard to hit the head of an ostrich from far away but his body makes a great target. One has to wonder if nature endowed the bird with just a pinch more wisdom would he keep his head above ground long enough to hear the gunfire so he could run for cover. Do those polled need just a pinch more wisdom?

Hezbollah is just as committed to the demise of the United States as it is to seeing the annihilation of Israel. If nothing else was known about the Hezbollah except that it is a militant Muslim movement how anyone could mistake them for a friend to the west is beyond all reason or human understanding. Are Americans so busy looking for reasons to celebrate the good times and scream out their heehaws that they can’t hear the ever deafening sound of those crying out for a jihad?

Will the business or the busyness of America make true the saying that the hardest thing for any individual, group or nation to survive is its own success? God forbid.

Leading conservatives at CPAC attacked the Republican party as big-government, free-spending coddlers of illegal immigrants and said the country’s conservatives should withhold support from the GOP’s current slate of presidential nominees to force them to the right, toward conservative principles.

So far which choices do we conservatives have for the 2008 Presidential Election?
McCain? Rudy Giuliani? GOP traitors who have backed a “guest worker” immigration plan, abortion rights and tax increases.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has disappointed fiscal conservatives for signing tax hikes on gas and cigarettes when he was governor, while Kansas Senator Sam Brownback has been criticized for his support of an immigration reform bill conservatives claim would give “amnesty” to illegal immigrants.

Phyllis Schlafly, a longtime opponent of gay rights and the Equal Rights Amendment, who derided programs to provide bilingual drivers’ tests and to provide low-wage jobs to immigrants instead of “our own high school dropouts,” is a possibility, but not really.

What this country needs is a real conservative for President. A Conservative President who is good for all of America, who will stand up for its citizens. Someone who believes in National Security, Education, Patriotic Immigration, someone who will fight for American interests within the World Trade System, Social Security reform, Balance the Federal Budget, and bring God back in to Americas public life.

I believe that someone, is Newt Gingrich. Though Gingrich has not yet announced his run for president, The former speaker of the House, back in December of 2006, said that he will consider entering the race for the Republican presidential nomination only if no other potential candidate looks to be a prohibitive favorite by September 2007. Well Mr Gingrich….We need you!

If passed, it would alter your pastors’ right to free speech and prevent them from speaking out on the critical issues we face as a nation. S.B. 1 and H.R. 4682 are aimed at regulating pastors and conservative groups by classifying them as “lobbyists” – which in turn would require them to register with the government. This law would be a direct restriction of free speech since this new definition of “lobbyist” would include public interest organizations, churches, and other non-profit groups who strive to influence public opinion – in any way. Americans should give a serious thought to CAIR’s agenda.. If Islam and sharia is adopted in America , It will be great. .

Muslims are right. Non of the existing Islamic countries are truly Islamic, that is why they don’t progress and most of them are poor, corrupt and miserable. We must implement 100% sharia and sunna to get full benefits of Islam. Inshallah we will try to do it in USA to make it the first real Muslim country after the days of rightly guided khalifas Consider the following advantages:

- America can go to jihad against non Muslim countries. It will bring immense wealth in booty and millions of captured women. Canada and Mexico can be easy targets and are conveniently located for easy assault and hauling of booty.

-Since slavery will be allowed government can open slave markets to sell it’s 20% share of the captured women.

-Captured women/slave-girls can provide affordable domestic help for house wives and clean enjoyable sex for their husbands.

-Enslaved men can be used as farm labor and factory workers at a much lower cost than unionized labor.

-Unemployed men from the prohibited non Islamic businesses like TV, Photography, computers, mortgage companies, music industry etc can be hired as religious police for the Ministry of Prevention of Vice and Promotion of Virtues . They can be used to beat up women violating burqa laws, arrest men with undersize beards and whip the non religious types found loitering at prayer times.

-Since men will be allowed four wives and unlimited number of slave girls, population boom will result in making the fastest growing religion grow even faster.

-All non muslims will live under dhimmi rules and pay heavy Jizya. Budget deficits will be a thing of the past.

Stoning of adulterers, whipping of alcohol drinkers, cutting of hands and feet of thieves and beheadings of apostates can be carried out after Juma prayers on Fridays in the local stadium. Gate charge for this gory and exciting weekly spectacle can generate a lot of revenue.

-Unemployed male gynecologists can be hired to carry out circumcisions of new male converts.

-Female circumcision can be made mandatory to promote piety and holiness and discourage lewdness among women.

-Marriage age for girls can be lowered to 6 years. That will reduce the burden of support of large poorer families and also promote a sunna, the tradition set by the holy prophet (peace be up on him).

-Whole Ramadan will be declared as public holidays so that every one can pray and recite the Quran.. Why work in the only month in which all ibadah and Quran recitals are worth 70 times the normal sawab (reward)?.

-Shia Muslims on temporary out of town business assignments will be able to do a temporary marriage (Muta) and enjoy home comfort outside of home.

-Since menstruation is a disease according to Quran all menstruating women will be given time off to rest in bed during their periods.

-All toilet seats in the public rest rooms will be reoriented so that one does not defecate facing Mecca .

-All public toilets will have buckets of stones instead of toilet tissues for claiming after defecation as a movement to implement sunna in the country.

-Separate bins along roadside will be placed to drop bones and dried animal feces for jins to snack on.

-Spiraling medical costs can be brought down by the following two prong approaches:

-Imams can be placed in the clinics to recite Quranic ayas (verses) and blow on the patients and pray for them . Their fee will be a fraction of what doctor’s charge.

– All pharmacies will be required to dispense black cumin, honey, Indian incense and camel urine as cure for all diseases as recommended by the holy prophet (pbuh). The cost will be a fraction of today’s medicines.

-Spiralling prison costs will come down due to the following:

-All men serving time for the crime of rape will be freed if four male witnesses had not testified in the trial. Even if four male witnesses had testified, the criminal will be freed under insanity provision , since only mentally insane will rape in front of four witnesses.

-All men serving sentences for beating wives will be freed as under new American sharia law wife beating will be allowed.

-All thieves will be freed after cutting their hands and feet.

-All pedophiles will be freed as sex with children will not be against law any more.

-All slayers of unbelievers will be freed if they converted to Islam.

All these result in savings and prosperity and happiness for all. InshaAllah!
